Wheel Lathes

Underfloor wheel lathes (UFWL) are used to reprofile rolling stock’s wheels, without having to dismount the wheelset from the vehicle.
It is installed in a pit, under a maintenance track.
The reprofiling is carried on wheelset per wheelset, by moving the vehicle along the track.
 
The RNG20 Underfloor Wheel Lathe is designed for the reprofiling of rolling stock up to 20 tons/wheelset (metro, tramway etc.)
Other versions available:

• Heavy duty UFWL (over 20 tons/wheelset)
• Tandem UFWL (the 4 wheels of a bogie are reprofiled simultaneously)
