Sheffield-based handling equipment specialist, Mechan, is welcoming a familiar face back to its sales team, to extend the service its offers to customers both at home and overseas.
Sales engineer, Lee Pitts, rejoins Mechan after a seven year break to strengthen the firm’s capacity and accommodate increasing demand for its heavy lifting products.
Lee will be working alongside the existing sales team to promote Mechan’s standard and bespoke cranes, as well as its extensive range of rail depot handling equipment. He left the firm in 2005, after six years in internal sales, to join DMR Seals where he worked most recently as a technical sales manager.
Richard Carr, Mechan’s managing director, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Lee back to the firm. He proved to be a fantastic asset during his first period of employment and I have no doubt that he will do so again. Lee has an excellent understanding of our products and the knowledge and experience to recommend the best solutions for our customers’ very specific requirements.”
Lee added: “I am really happy to be rejoining Mechan’s sales team. Having worked previously at the firm, I am confident I can hit the ground running and quickly get to grips with the current product portfolio. In such a technically specific industry, no two projects are ever the same and I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.”
